Hello friends, family and loved ones.

Our team the “Pied Hikers” awoke at 5 am this morning to take advantage of better early morning weather. We grabbed a quick bite to eat and loaded the bus for the airport. Soon we were unloading the bus and loading onto our plane.
A short 30 minute flight landed us in beautiful downtown Lukla where the actual trekking begins.

The Khumbu weather was perfect for hiking so we had a great time.
And to top off our first day on the trail we celebrated Bob’s birthday.
